As first-generation Americans with family roots in Guangzhou, Hong Kong, and Taiwan, we grew up with Cantonese as part of everyday life. That connection to language and family is at the heart of our work.
For our first book, we turned to dim sum: a familiar gathering of dishes, conversation, and shared time. It offered a natural place to bring Chinese food culture and bilingual reading together.
